Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL) a leading infrastructure development company promoted by Government of Karnataka (in the state invoved in development of Roads, Bridges, etc.,) is presently engaged in B-TRAC-2010 Projects for Bangalore City Traffic Police (BCTP).

BCTP is looking for following experts to be hired in consulting capacity for a period of 12 to 18 months. BCTP is the country's leading police force in terms of introducing and developing intelligent technology for transport planning and such association is sure to provide excellent exposure to Governance and potential change for the candidate.

1. INFORMATION SYSTEM ENGINEER-1 No.

The candidate shall provide support to the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) efforts currently underway at the TMC. The candidate must be able to contribute to the development of speicific technologies in decision support, image processing and other areas of traffic intelligence. The scope of the proposed work is to integrate the different technology elements of ongoing projects, develop decision-support solutions based on these elements and facilitate good internal management as well as provide excellent public service through information dissemination.

2. TRANSPORT ENGINEER - 1No.

The candidate shall develop algorithms and software that optimize vehicle and pedestrian movement controlled through signals at each junction, based on field studies as well as simulations. Applications developed in this manner will provide guidance and support to the ITS.

The scope of the proposed work is to develop the specific settings for intelligent signals being deployed by BCTP around the city and integrate these with other inputs for the City's transport information aand management system.

The positions require the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Transport Engineering or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in traffic engineering, ITS and data management centres. The ideal candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Kannada is a plus.
